Features that can be consider! ✨
Hi GoSolat team! 🌷 I really love using GoSolat to track my daily prayers, dhikr and other ibadah. I was thinking of a feature that could make the app even more useful as a daily Islamic companion. 🤍
Would it be possible to consider adding a Dua & Dhikr Library, organised by context or intention?
🌙 Daily Duas
• Waking up & sleeping
• Wearing/removing clothes
• Entering/leaving home
• Before/after eating
• Entering/leaving the masjid
• Travelling
• Rain
• After prayer, etc.
📿 Dhikr by Intention
• Rizq & barakah
• Strengthening iman
• Seeking beneficial knowledge
• Peace & tranquillity
• Sabr, shukr & tawakkul
• Protection
• Healing
• Forgiveness, etc.
🕊️ Occasional Duas
• For the deceased
• Hajj & Umrah
• Ramadan
• Istikharah / making decisions
• Exams & seeking knowledge
• Marriage & family
• Difficult times, sadness & hardship
• Illness & recovery
• Travel, etc.
✨ Dua/Dhikr of the Day
It would also be lovely to have a daily featured dua or dhikr, with:
• Arabic text
• Transliteration
• English/Malay translation
• Audio/pronunciation
• Save/favourite option
• Source & reference
I think the source/reference feature is especially important for an Islamic app. It would be great if each dua and dhikr could include its source — for example, Qur’an verse, surah/ayah, or hadith reference — and ideally indicate the authenticity/status of the hadith where relevant.
This could help users not only practise the dua/dhikr, but also learn where it comes from and feel confident that they are practising something properly sourced. 🤍
I also think organising dhikr according to intentions/needs could make the feature really meaningful. For example, instead of simply opening “Dhikr”, a user could choose:
🤍 “I need peace.”
💰 “I’m seeking rizq.”
📚 “I’m seeking beneficial knowledge.”
🌱 “I want to strengthen my iman.”
🕊️ “I’m going through a difficult time.”
🤲 “I need guidance in making a decision.”
Then GoSolat could recommend relevant authentic duas/dhikr.
Overall, I think this could make GoSolat feel even more like a daily Islamic companion, rather than just a prayer tracker. 🌿
Thank you for creating such a useful app! May Allah reward everyone behind GoSolat and make it a means of benefit for many Muslims. 🤍
